When Julie first came to me, she had been struggling for over a decade with feeling good. She was tired, unfulfilled in her career, and unhappy in her relationship.
She was also exhausted and fed up with her career, couldn’t lose those 10 to 15 pounds she gained from all the stress eating, and wasn’t well sleeping at night, all the while living in hormone hell.
She told me, “I’ve tried everything… Finding time… trying different dieting plans and supplements. Trying to exercise. Talk to my kids and have the respect I deserve. Tuning out to get a break in front of Netflix with a glass of wine and bag of Cheetos, every night. During the day holding it all together at work with the office politics while putting on my suit of armor and being in charge and never letting them see me sweat… Then the bursts of anger and resentment leak out at my husband. Different doctor visits to find out what was wrong with me. Being unhappy, unfulfilled and feeling like “How in the heck do I get through this!?!?”.”
And, each time she made some progress with her health, or got the reward and recognition at work, or had a great evening with her husband, or started losing some weight, that made her think, “Okay, this might have potential”, she would end up in the same circle of living on “replay everyday”.
By the time we started working together, she was exhausted, unhealthy, ready to file for divorce, quit her job, melt down, send her kids away to school and… give up.
Fast-forward to today.
Julie has true joy and fulfillment for the first time in her life. She has now been in a loving relationship with her husband, and she says he is “the man who I’ve always known he could be. I can come home from work and step into my role as a woman and wife at a deeper level.”
Every day, she puts herself first by designing herself into her day. She has her libido back and isn’t drained at the end of the day. She has “time” for things she wants to do.
She also says she ditched the self-sacrifice, exhaustion and hustle of her career. She underwent a holistic transformation of vitality and empowerment in her role, designing a confident new way of living and leading on her own terms. As a woman. She dropped living in her masculine and chooses to step into it by choice without excessive force.
She shares, “I went from stress to serenity, deeply connected to my truth and desires. I finally have peace and fulfillment and shattered those last 10 pounds I was holding onto. I sleep most nights and feel so much more balanced. I easily command respect at work and home while the red carpet rolls out for me wherever I go…” she laughs to me.
So, how did Julie go from stuck, exhausted, unfulfilled and unhealthy to planning out a future with fulfillment, expansion, empowerment, and joy?
Well, the first thing I told her was she’d been approaching her career and her relationships all wrong.
In my experience, most women think they just need to work harder at all of that. To keep “doing”. So, they keep trying to fix themselves and everyone around them.
But that doesn’t work, and they just end up exhausted, burned out, unhappy, unfulfilled and frustrated.
Instead, I teach my clients how to come back to themselves as women, so they can feel connected, balanced, transformed, in alignment, deep love, successful and on fiyah with health and wealth.
When I shared this shift with Julie, everything started to click for her. Then, as I helped Julie through the coaching process, she got it. I mean she really nailed it.
